BACKGROUND STORY

Basic Idea - Many years ago the land was flat and flowing with all forms of nature. Within the centre of this land lay a mythical spring. One day the land surrounding this spring by some unknown force caused it to violently pull itself from the ground, leaving it elevated above the ground it once shared. Over the hundreds and thousands of years civilisation has grown and what was once a seeping wound on the earths surface, is now a populated and wealthy city. In contrast the floating island and the land surrounding the city is stuck in time, and have not changed from the time in which the island seperated itself from the world. There is a massive wall surrounding the city, that seperates it from the old world. There is a lack of sunlight and water for both the modern city and the old ancient lands under the overwhelming island. The city can rely on its technology to simulate these forms of nature, where as the ancient lands are not so well off and as a result endure a mixture of long droughts and massive flods.
